Lachie Pitman has worked in the banking sector for over 30 years. He took over the Aussie/Wizard franchise in Greensborough in early 2000, servicing Eltham, Greensborough, Lower Plenty, Macleod and surrounding areas. Living in the area for more than 35 years Lachie is always ‘Just around the corner’ to assist his ever expanding customer base in the northern suburbs.
‘Aussie Mates’ is Lachie’s idea, and it’s his vision, drive and enthusiasm that’s made Aussie Mates the fast growing, living, breathing, cooperative community that it is today.
Prior to taking over Aussie Greensborough Lachie managed the NAB Thornbury and Northcote branches in the mid eighties and in the ninties managed Barclays/St George branches in the City and Bell Street Preston.

Lachie is the lead mortgage broker with Aussie Home Loans Greensborough and joint Franchise Principal with Peter Newman. Peter has 13 years banking and over 10 years mortgage broking experience. He has lived in Greensborough / Mill Park for 43 years. Peter coaches representative basketball for Whittlesea Pacers Basketball Club and follows the Brisbane Lions.
Kathy Kerr is the Branch Manager at the Aussie Greensborough franchise and also helps with the running of Lachie’s newly opened Aussie Northcote franchise. Kathy has vast industry experience having worked for a number of large Banks and Building Societies since arriving in Australia from New Zealand 30 years ago. Kathy also joined Aussie / Wizard in 2000 and is responsible for marketing, administration and customer relations.
Lachie is an avid golfer and also an organiser and participant in the annual Variety Club Bash. His co-drivers in the Variety Club Bash are Mike ‘Cazaly’ Brady, Wilbur ‘Hey Hey’ Wilde and David Cloke. Variety The Children’s Charity benefits from the M$1.5 raised annually from this worthwhile event.
