Snap FitnessSnap FitnessContact: Adelle Missen
Founded in 2003 in the United States, Snap Fitness has taken on a rapid expansion plan and currently has more than 2,000 clubs worldwide including the USA, Canada, Mexico, India and now Australia and New Zealand.
Snap Fitness Greensborough recently opened its doors to the community with owner Adelle Missen committed to making it a ‘gym for all’. In early 2016 Snap Fitness Eltham will also be opening which reinforces Adelle’s philosophy of making fitness accessible to all.
Adelle has dedicated her career to the fitness industry for over 13 years. Studying Fitness in High School (Whittlesea Secondary College) she has continued to expand her knowledge in business, sales and fitness ever since. Like most of our Aussie Mates, Adelle started work earlier than most people. Her first sales experience was at the age of four selling scrunchies at Greensborough Market. She became quite a little entrepreneur throughout primary school and high school, always finding ways to make her own money.
Her combined passion for business and fitness was ignited by the guidance and mentoring of her schoolteacher, Snez Pezzin who continues to be a great example and mentor in Adelle’s life. Snez is the highly respected owner of Sentience Personal Training Studio (Yarrambat) and is recognised throughout Australia as a health, fitness and weight loss expert.
Adelle has done it all in the fitness industry – starting at Fernwood Greensborough as a gym instructor to opening and managing gyms throughout Victoria. However the most fulfilling part of all of this has been to mentor and train the next generation of fitness trainers and sales people.
Opening her first gym in 2009 was a massive achievement for Adelle, her dedication to her clients was second-to-none. She gave it everything she could, even moving to the other side of town to make it work. Unfortunately due to ongoing back issues and surgery in 2011 she had to close her ‘first baby’. However being the person she is and having the passion and desire to continue to achieve her dreams, Adelle picked herself up and continued on her journey becoming the first Regional Manager for Snap Fitness in Victoria in 2013.
After a wedding, a baby and many long days (and nights) Adelle has found herself right where she belongs. She is now the National Projects Manager for Snap Fitness Australia, has opened Snap Fitness Greensborough and has her second club opening in Eltham in 2016. This busy mum of one can’t believe she’s finally made it.
The future is looking really bright for our Aussie Mate Adelle, as she continues to share her passion for health and fitness with all those in her community.
